Sixways Stadium, home of Worcester Warriors, was filled with sweethearts rather than sports fans on Sunday as the latest I Will wedding show took place.
More than 150 budding brides and grooms, plus their families and friends, took the opportunity to access an array of wedding ideas in the spacious venue, with exhibitors showcasing everything from flowers and cakes to beauty services and entertainment.
The highlight of the day was a professional catwalk show organised by the Fashion Show Company featuring the latest fashions for brides, grooms, bridesmaids and mothers, with outfits provided by local outlets Bridal Boutique of Worcester, Lacewings, Nicholas Smith Menswear and Sassy Boutique – all based in Worcester.
Exhibitor Mark Hinds, of Herefordshire company Whip Up A Party, was particularly pleased with the event’s success: “It was a really good day for us, as we had a great location in the room and met lots of visitors who enjoyed a free ice cream while they chatted to us!
“We took three bookings on the day, so it was well worth doing. The event was well-organised as usual – we always get results from the I Will shows.”
The next I Will shows take place this coming Sunday, October 13, at TWO fabulous local venues – grade two-listed Studley Castle and stylish Stourport Manor. Each will be packed with all manner of wedding essentials.
Both events run between 11am and 3.30pm, and with plenty of free parking available, you can spend as long as you like. Don’t forget to enter the free prize draw to win goodies including a dream dress from this season’s sponsor, 2 Have & 2 Hold of Kidderminster.
The I Will wedding shows – run by the people behind local newspapers such as the Worcester News, Malvern Gazette and Evesham Journal – bring together an array of services under one roof. This means couples and their families and friends can spend a relaxed and enjoyable day collecting ideas and contacts to help create the perfect wedding.
