A DYNAMIC project to create public art influenced by residents living in Dines Green is reaching the end of phase one.

A number of artists have been working on the Dines Green Project run by EC Arts on behalf of Worcester Community Housing as part of the housing association’s multi-million pound regeneration for the area.

They include world renowned artist Lucy McLauchlan, who has painted murals in Hermitage Garden, Moscow and the Library of Birmingham, and has helped paint youth shelters in the area.

The organisation, which creates site-specific art, was commissioned to write and produce a public art strategy for Dines Green by Worcester Community Housing in October 2012.

EC Arts spent six months researching the area and speaking with residents to develop the project and hopes it can fund-raise for the next phase of permanent work hoped to be completed by spring 2015. St Michael’s church hall has been transformed into an evolving art space showcasing the artists and residents’ work within the project’s activities and events.

People will be able to see the final phase one work and more on Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 4pm.
