DESPITE heavy clouds hanging over Worcester the city narrowly missed the worst of yesterday’s severe weather system.
Around an inch of rain fell over Hereford and to the east of Worcester with the western side of the county suffering a miserable day with some heavy showers.
Paul Michaelwaite, from Netweather, said: “The system moved through the county heading away in the afternoon. There has been some heavy rain across the county. It has been pretty damp especially as there has not been much rain really recently.
“Friday will see more rain come in. There will be heavy showers possibly but then slowing down for the weekend with temperatures set to get up to the late teens and possibly early twenties.”
