WORK has begun on the latest addition to a shopping centre’s own ‘cafe quarter’.
Coffee Dough, known as CoDo, will open next month when it moves into the empty glass pavilion at Worcester’s CrownGate.
The new eatery will join established favourites Carluccio’s and House and the new Green Room, next to the nearby Huntingdon Hall, in the centre’s open air courtyard.
CoDo is the brainchild of Worcester businessmen Ilir Fazliu and business partners Adam Edney and Steve Sosna, who say the shop is inspired by the café bars of Milan, Italy.
“Coffee Dough’s unique concept and design mimics the ethos of our food – rich, natural and honest,” said the partners.
“An occasional shimmer of extravagance paired with the iconic furniture designs, reinforces the Coffee Dough aspiration for a minimalistic and luxury café experience.
“Our intent is to make each visit an experience, from purchase to consumption.
“Each of our products is thoughtfully considered in their appearance, taste and packaging, with their unique finishes.
The venue is likely to have 20 seats placed outside and will create three to five jobs. “We are delighted to welcome CoDo to CrownGate to add to a unique offering of food and drink outlets,” said Erica Burlace, CrownGate centre manager.
