A MAN has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a car near Worcester.
Emergency services were called at about 12.15pm today to the junction of The Drive and Old Malvern Road, in Powick.
An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic area support officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the incident along with the police and fire service.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews were called to reports of a man that had been in collision with a car.
“On arrival at the scene crews found bystanders providing first aid to the man. The man who had sustained serious multiple injuries was treated by ambulance crews at the scene before being fully immobilised and airlifted to the major trauma centre and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further assessment and specialist treatment.”
It is though the man was hurt when a parked car rolled onto him.
