SAFETY conscious youngsters have been rewarded for being danger dodgers.
Pupils from Thornton House School, in Wyld's Lane, Worcester, won £50 for their school in a competition about how to stay safe.
Earlier in the year they visited a Danger Dodgers exhibition, run by Worcester City Council's local development framework, learning about everyday dangers ranging from fire hazards to dangers faced by cyclists.
They had to produce a set of postcards which warned about the dangers.
Year six teacher Tamsin Bayliss said: "We went out into Wyld's Lane and looked for dangers and hazards. They found things such as litter in hedges, barbed wire and split bin bags. We took photos of them, then drew and wrote about them, making the postcards."
At a special assembly the youngsters were presented with their £50 cheque. The school council will decide how to spend the money.
