A MAN was rescued from the river Severn after he fell off the Severn Bridge in Worcester.
A group of passers-by in their late 20s pulled the man to safety by throwing him a bouyancy aid.
The police arrived on the scene at around 10.45pm last night and said he had fallen over the main barriers on the Worcester-side of the bridge, facing away from the Cathedral.
The Ambulance service was called and the man was taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital as a precaution
