MORE than 25 teams got into the swing of things for the annual St Richard’s Hospice golf day which was held at Droitwich Golf Club.
Now in its 17th year, 2013’s event is expected to raise about £7,000 for the Worcester-based care charity.
Drizzly conditions at the Ford Lane course did not dampen team spirit as all the players completed their rounds.
The contest was eventually won by a team from the NatWest Bank.
Organiser Graham Robertson said: “It went very well and everyone enjoyed it. It will definitely be back next year.”
Rachel Jones, of St Richard’s Hospice, thanked all the golfers who took part and Mr Robertson for organising the event.
The hospice provides free specialist care for patients living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses and supports their families.
