POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man sustained serious head injuries when his quad bike hit a verge while driving in Clows Top.
The incident occured on the A456, Rectory Lane, near to the Colliers Arms, at around 1.35pm yesterday.
The man in his 20s, who was not wearing a helmet, was treated at the scene before being airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth hospital, in Birmingham. He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition at the present time.
Police believe the red and white Yamaha quad bike left the road and collided with the verge on the side of the road, resulting in the rider being thrown from the bike.
Officers investigating the cause of the collision are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the collision itself, or anyone who may have seen the quad bike prior to it actually occurring.
Anyone with information should contact West Mercia Police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number 260S 180913.
