A CAR which failed stop during a police pursuit collided with several other vehicles in Malvern.
The red Ford Fiesta was being pursued by an unmarked police vehicle when it was involved in a collision with a tractor and a Volkswagen Jetta on Wells Road near The Old Coach House B&B at around 3.20pm on Tuesday, September 10.
Officers from Barnards Green responding to information about the car being involved in crime had requested the vehicle to stop but it sped away before the crash took place.
Following the collision, the Fiesta fled the area and the police pursuit was called off while officers stayed at the scene to assist the occupants of the other vehicles involved in the crash.
The Fiesta was reported abandoned in Gilberts End Lane in Hanley Swan the following day.
PC Matt Waite, from Malvern police station, said: “Thankfully, no one was injured in this incident but clearly it could have been a lot worse and we are now investigating this as a case of dangerous driving.
“In addition to the tractor and the Volkswagen, we believe the Fiesta was also involved in a number of smaller collisions with other vehicles on its journey out of Malvern that day.
“However, we have been unable so far to identify the drivers of those vehicles and I would urge them to contact us with their details.
“We are also keen to hear from anyone who may know how the Fiesta ended up in Hanley Swan and has descriptions of the driver or any passengers who may have decamped from it.”
