THIS was the scene on the M5 near Worcester this afternoon after two cars left the road and went up the embankment.
The crash, which also involved a third vehicle, happened at about 2.15pm on the northbound carriageway, just south of Junction Seven, the Worcester South interchange.
Emergency services were quickly on the scene, and fire fighters determined that three women were medically trapped - that is, they should not be moved until seen by paramedics.
Once they had been examined, the three women were removed from the cars and taken by land ambulance to Worcestershire Royal Hospital. No information about their condition has been released.
