ARTISTS across Malvern and Ledbury will be opening their doors to the public from today Saturday as part of Herefordshire Art Week, or h.Art.
No fewer than 11 venues in Ledbury are taking part, with many more just on the doorstep.
Among those opening their studios is Valerie McLean, who uses her experience of nursing to inspire her paintings about memory and reminiscence.
And a new name to h.Art is Belatrova, a collaboration between painter Peter Arscott and potter Stuart Houghton, who are producing hand-decorated tables and ceramics.
There is also the chance to see blacksmith Stephen McRae at work, and see more artworks at galleries such as Weavers, Shell House and Tinsmiths.
Another new name this year is Malvern’s Iapetus gallery, where the work of more than 100 artists and designers will be on show, with a particular focus on the sculptures and jewellery of Susan Horth.
Blue Ginger at Cradley is offering an extensive programme of talks and workshops, while at Whitbourne, newcomer painters Tom Mence and Bill Evans will be joining h.Art regular Mary Ann Scadding, and the Linton Brook collective in Bringsty is another new exhibitor.
Sculptor Caro Sweet is launching a new range of bronze resin garden sculptures at her Bransford studio.
