Digger targeted in theft attempt
WOULD-be thieves tried to steal a mini-digger at about noon on Thursday, September 5, from Ankerdine Hill, Knightwick.
The digger was parked about 100 metres from the road when the engine was heard to start.
The thieves were disturbed and two males ran away from the digger and left the scene in a Ford Transit, described as having a white cab and a silver bed on the back and a double orange beacon on the roof, which was seen to leave in the direction of Martley.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 0171S 050913.
