STAFF from a Worcestershire software firm will be pushing themselves mentally and physically to raise funds for St Richard’s Hospice.

Two teams from Borwell, based at the Malvern’s science park, have signed up for the hospice’s Corporate Challenge on Friday, September 20, at the Top Barn Activity Centre in Holt Heath, Worcester.

They will be racing against the clock to complete a number of teamwork tasks on land and water, including raft building, kayaking, and an orienteering obstacle course.

Andrea Borwell-Fox, who is already a business patron of St Richard’s Hospice, is really looking forward to taking part.

She said: “It is good to push yourself out of your comfort zone, and I certainly will be doing that, with the challenges that we face as a team. What a great way to get to know one another better while raising funds for Borwell’s chosen charity.”

St Richard’s fund-raiser Rachel Jones said: “This is the third year of the challenge event and we’ve had great feedback from the teams who have taken part.

“It’s the ideal team building day without the expense of a corporate away day.

“We’re hoping lots of firms will join us and enjoy the motivating event as well as raising funds for St Richard’s.

There is a registration fee of £160 to Top Barn Activity Centre and teams are asked to pledge a minimum of £500 sponsorship to St Richard’s Hospice.
