A BAND of brothers will take on a cross-channel cycle challenge in a bid to raise funds for a worthy cause.
The Baker boys – Scott, aged 39, Simon, 37, and Russell, 33 – from Worcester, will pedal from Worcester Cathedral to Notre Dame in Paris in aid of St Richard’s Hospice.
The trio will set off with their friend, Andy Choyce, on Wednesday, September 18, and hope to complete the challenge within four days.
The men, who each aim to raise £1,500, have been in training three or four times a week, fitting in the cycling around their work schedule.
Scott Baker said: “We are looking forward to the challenge and to arriving in Paris. We will pull together and encourage each other if the going gets tough and we are all a bit competitive.”
