A448 between Redditch to Bromsgrove closed tonight for emergency resurfacing
A SECTION of the dual carriageway between Redditch and Bromsgrove will be closed overnight for resurfacing following a fire.
The westbound carriageway of the A448 Bromsgrove Highway will be closed at the B4184 slip road at the Birchfield Road junction from 7.30pm this evening until 6am tomorrow morning.
Diversions will be in place via the B4096 Hewell Lane, B4184 Alcester Road, B4184 Finstall Road, B4184 New Road, and A38 Bromsgrove Eastern Bypass.
The emergency resurfacing is required following a crash between a car and a moped just before 11pm on Tuesday night, which led to both vehicles catching fire.
The moped rider was treated at Redditch’s Alexandra Hospital for cuts and bruises.
