FIVE-year-old Jacob Alexander gets to grips with some mediaeval weapons at Worcester’s Commandery. Visitors to the Commandery on Bank Holiday Monday stepped back in time to the city’s mediaeval past.
The historical event at the Sidbury visitor attraction saw about 300 visitors experience life at the building when it was a monastic hospital.
Historical interpreters Discover History demonstrated what a mediaeval banquet would have been like and Yarnsmith of Norwich delighted crowds with his tales of old. Children got stuck into craft activities while slightly bigger children were given the chance to try their hands at archery. 3513391201
