MORE than 1,000 pheasants have been stolen from pens on farmland near Worcester.
About 1,200 pheasants along with 150 pure white pheasants worth about £4,725 were taken from pens at Little Brockamin Farm, Dingle Road, Leigh sometime between the beginning of July and Thursday, August 22.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “The offenders would have been on site for a considerable length of time and may well have been spotted.
“We are urging anyone with information about those responsible, or anyone who has been offered pheasants for sale in suspicious circumstances, to contact Worcester police station.”
