AN e-fit has been released of the man police are looking for in connection with a sexual assault.
The female victim was walking through an underpass off Union Street in Redditch just after 1am on Sunday.
Officers say a man offered to walk her home but she declined the offer and he sexually assaulted her.
Detective Constable Stacey Keogh said: “Thankfully, the victim managed to get away from him and was not badly hurt during the assault.
“However, she has understandably been left extremely upset by the incident and it is important that we identify the man responsible.
“The victim feels that this e-fit image is an extremely good likeness of the man who assaulted her.”
He is described as Asian, aged 28 to 30 years-old, 5ft 7ins tall and of a medium build.
He had short black hair and had distinctive facial hair. He was wearing a dark coloured jacket.
“During the assault, the woman’s shoes – a pair of nude, peep toe, high heels – came off. They have not yet been located and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen or found them,” added Det Con Keogh.
“The offender spoke with a local accent and we are therefore hopeful that someone in the area will recognise this individual and contact us with a name.”
