STAFF at a Worcester opticians lived out their childhood dreams as the store hosted a Kids Super Saturday to raise cash for charity.
Specsavers in Broad Street, Worcester, was a child’s dream as the store put on entertaining games and activities while the youngsters went to visit the optician.
The staff also spent the day dressed up as the careers and characters they dreamt of being when they were kids.
Matthew Fern, a senior optical adviser, spent the day dressed up as a robot.
“I liked the idea of being a robot and I was a big fan of Transformers,” he said.
Randeep Singh, store director and optometrist, said the event was an excellent way of highlighting the importance of regular eye examinations for children.
“The summer holidays offer the opportunity for parents to ensure they get their children’s eyes checked – highlighting any problems they may have before returning to school. “Undetected problems with vision can affect a child’s learning and if it is not in perfect condition it can often be mistaken for learning difficulties.”
A total of £100 was raised for Acorns Children’s Hospice in Bath Road, Worcester.
