There are delays of up to 25 minutes each way on London Midland services between Worcester Shrub Hill, Kidderminster and Birmingham Snow Hill after 300 metres of cabling were cut in the Hartlebury area.
Engineers discovered the damage at 5am this morning and normal services are not expected to resume until 4pm.
