A VICTORIAN garden will be filled with about 500 re-enactors as history comes to life this weekend.
More than 2,000 years of history from the Ancient Greeks to the Second World War will be re-enacted during the M5 Living History event at Spetchley Park, near Worcester, on Saturday and Sunday.
Organised by Worcester Re-enactors, there will be camps full of people demonstrating use of domestic items, crafts and weapons of their periods, with displays of Tudor brick-making, an RAF emergency operations room and battles and skirmishes in the main field.
The Village Green will be home to traders with craft items, clothing, food and a 1940s-themed pub serving drinks including the specially brewed Spetchley Ale from Fownes Brewery.
Live music comes from the 1940s and a Magic Lantern show will use original Victorian projectors and slides. Entry is £7.50 for adults and £2.50 for children between 10am and 5pm.
