A BUSY route into the centre of Worcester was closed this afternoon following a collision between a car and van.
The Daewoo car and Vauxhall Vivaro van collided on Rainbow Hill, close to Lansdowne Crescent, just before 2pm.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said two people were hurt with one casualty sent to hospital in Worcester complaining of a neck injury.
The other person had neck and back pain but was treated at the scene. It is not known whether the passenger sent to hospital was travelling in the car or van.
Initial calls to the emergency services incorrectly suggested three vehicles were involved.
Two fire crews from Worcester, plus two ambulances, a paramedic and two ambulances were also called.
The road had re-opened again by 4pm.
