A NEWCOMER to the festival circuit has changed venue and added an extra day.
Ringmaster Festival was originally planned to take place on the Whitbourne Estate, near Worcester, but a deteriorating access road has become unsafe for large volumes of traffic and the event has relocated to Hopton Court, Hopton Wafers, Cleobury Mortimer.
The larger venue on the Shropshire-Worcestershire border has allowed organisers to add two nights of camping to the schedule on Friday and Saturday, September 27-28.
Maximo Park, Mystery Jets and Swim Deep are among the acts already announced to feature, with the promise of from up and coming local acts on the Friday.
Festival organiser Andrew Georgiou said: “Ringmaster has been moved to a different venue due to issues with safety of the access road.
“Adverse weather conditions have caused the road to deteriorate and become unsafe for large volumes of traffic. We have therefore moved the festival to a site without this problem.”
Mr Georgiou added: “The new site comes with added benefits, the licence allows for camping on the night of the 28th, and we are going to open up an early bird option for attendees to come up on Friday the 27th, hear some music and camp.”
The new site will house six big top tents in various colours and sizes, all named after circus people and rides, to give the event the look and feel of a vintage circus from the 1930s.
The main bar can be found in the central tent with the other five hosting the music stages.
Revellers can attend the festival from 2pm on the Friday, with the music running from 5pm to 11pm, and the site opens at 9am on the Saturday as the music plays from 11am to 11pm.
The bar closes at midnight on both nights, while everything must be packed away by 2pm on the Sunday.
Tickets cost £39.50 for standard Saturday entry and £49.50 for early Friday entry, while under-10s go free with an accompanying adult.
