A MAN from Worcester has been named as the person found dead in woodland near Malvern last week.
The body of Christopher Norman, aged 60, of St Peter's, was discovered when police were called to the incident near the New Inn at Storridge on Hereford Road on Wednesday, August 7.
Police are not treating his death as suspicious and a post-mortem has been completed, with an inquest due to be opened on Monday, August 19.
Mr Norman was dead when he was found in the woodland near the pub.
Several police vehicles were spotted at the scene on the main Worcester to Hereford road from mid-afternoon but mystery surrounded the cause of the activity for several hours.
A lane next to the pub and leading to Norburys Norrest Fruit Farm was closed off and an ambulance attended the scene but the woodland was not part of the farm.
