AN adrenalin-pumping day of zip wiring is being organised at a stately home – but only for cuddly toys.
On Sunday, August 18, a zip wire will be rigged up to the top of historic Croome Court, near Pershore, for a special teddy bear picnic and zip wire day.
But visitors will be keeping their feet planted firmly on solid ground, with their favourite teddy bears instead being the ones to face the daring descent.
Becky Wilks, visitor services assistant at the National Trust property, said: “This is going to be a really fun event, with children being able to decorate their teddy’s cape before it zooms down the zip wire from the top of the court.
“Last year we had a really successful teddy parachuting day with more than 200 people coming along and this year we thought zip wires would be a fun alternative.”
Children will also be able to follow a ‘letterboxing’ trail and picnic hampers will be on sale.
Zip wiring sessions are at 1.30pm and 3.30pm and cost £3.
