MISCHIEVOUS vandals dragged a cricket sight screen from the ground in Droitwich into a nearby road blocking it for more than three hours.
he screen, which is 15ft high, was reported to be in the middle of Tagwell Road between the junctions with King George Avenue and Newlands Road at around 3.40am this morning.
It had been dragged from the ground, down an embankment and into the road.
The police were called and the road had to be closed to allow the screen to be moved. It was re-opened just after 8am this morning.
A club member from Droitwich Cricket Club said: βIt happened once about eight years ago. It is the yobbos have pushed it all the way down and into the road. We used the club tractor to tow it back. There is no damage to it.β
