NATURE lovers across Worcestershire can celebrate as the wait for bluebells to flower appears to be over.
The Woodland Trust says it has received a surge in sightings this week, adding the bluebell recently topped a poll by the charity which asked the public for its favourite spring flower.
The Trust says Shrawley Wood near Stourport-on-Severn and Tiddesley Wood near Evesham are among the best places to spot them.
“One of our key aims is to protect the ancient woodland in which native bluebells thrive and with public help to build up a more detailed picture of when the bluebells flower in Worcestershire and where, we can better understand how they are affected by our changing climate,” said Dr Kate Lewthwaite from the Woodland Trust.
