WORCESTERSHIRE sun worshippers will be reaching for sun tan lotion and barbecue sauce this bank holiday weekend, according to the weather experts.
Met Office forecasters say temperatures are set to sore into the high teens on Saturday and Sunday, even reaching an impressive 19C on Monday.
However, things may not start well on Saturday, according to the Met Office expert.
“There will be patchy rain in parts of England and Wales gradually clearing southwards, though perhaps lingering in the far south,” he said.
However, temperatures would reach 16C, said the Met office spokesman.
On Sunday, he predicted dry, bright and warm conditions for those enjoying the long weekend.
“It will be generally dry, bright and warm on Sunday and Monday, but turning more unsettled on Tuesday with rain spreading eastwards,” he said.
Meanwhile, Paul Michaelwaite, of netweather.tv in Pershore, confirmed that the county could expect some of the best weather it has enjoyed so far this year.
“Bank Holiday Monday will be 19C or 20C with more sunny spells,” he said.
“Monday could be the warmest day that we have had so far this year in Worcestershire.”
