A WOMAN was been pushed to the floor twice by a cyclist as she walked through a Redditch underpass.
The 47-year-old victim was walking with a friend from Alcester Street towards Ipsley Street when a man approached and made a comment towards her.
Police say she asked him to repeat what he said, at which point he got off his bike, pushed her to the floor, and then when she stood back up he pushed her again, causing her to fall to the floor once more.
The assault happened about 6.30pm on Tuesday.
The cyclist is described as white, about 6ft tall, of athletic build, with a goatee beard and wearing a yellow florescent jacket, sunglasses, and a bike helmet.
The victim sustained a grazed elbow and knee, and pain in her shoulder.
“The victim did not know the cyclist, and this appears to be an unprovoked attack,” said PC Zowey Marshall of West Mercia Police “It happened during daylight hours, and members of the public stopped to help the victim. I would like to trace these people as they may have useful information.”
Anyone who saw the attack should contact PC Marshall on 101, quoting 207-s-010513.
