THE owners of a newly reopened Worcester pub are hoping that their official launch weekend goes off with a real bang.
Jenny Grunnell and Jon Norris opened the doors to the Gun Tavern in Newtown Road, Ronkswood, on Sunday for the first time since the pub’s closure in December.
Now they hope that the bank holiday weekend and the chance of sunny weather will bring in the crowds for a celebratory party tomorrow and Sunday.
During the event there will be special offers on drinks, as well as live entertainment, a disco and karaoke.
Ms Grunnell said they were looking forward to a day of brisk trade and fun.
“We just can’t wait,” she said.
“The doors have been open since Sunday and we expected it to be quite quiet, but it has been hectic.”
The newly refurbished, family-friendly pub comes with a good selection of beers at competitive prices, Sky Sports on the television, a free function room for hire, darts, a pool table and skittles.
