A CHARITY event in aid of two local organisations which have provided support to a young man suffering from cerebral palsy was a huge success, raising £1,000.
Mike Skilbeck and his singing partner Kevin Styles, of Swing2Soul, organised the event at Edgar Suite at Bowl Xtreme to raise money for Regency High School, Warndon, Worcester, and the Myriad Centre in Worcester, which are both attended by Mr Styles’s 18-year-old son Jake.
It was the first charity event the pair have organised together and included games such as Irish bingo, Play Your Cards Right, whisky roll and a big raffle, as well as entertainment from the duo as well as Rachel Perry and Andy Faull.
Mr Skilbeck said: “We handed the cheques over and have been told that the money will be put to great use. Kevin and I have worked hard and we are both proud of Swing2Soul’s success on the night.”
