STAFF, pupils and parents at Cradley CE Primary School are delighted that they have been awarded a Basic Skills Quality Mark Award.

The award is a national accreditation that supports and celebrates progress made by a school in English and maths.

The school was assessed by an external assessor who looked at strategic planning, target-setting and its support for underachieving pupils.

The Friends of Cradley School raised more than £1,500 to buy new reading books for the school.
