A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital after being thrown from a horse.
The 47-year-old came off her mount and was stood on a couple of times by the horse at about 4.30pm on Monday while travelling on a bridleway opposite Drayton Pool near the Robin Hood Inn, Drayton, near Kidderminster.
A rapid response vehicle, ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the scene, with the woman complaining of neck and back pain before being given pain relief and immobilised using a neck collar and scoop stretcher.
She was airlifted to the Major Trauma Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham as a precaution.
