I joined the Green Party because it is the only party putting forward a positive and alternative agenda that’s very different to the failed policies of the other parties. This country needs investment in education, our youth, social housing, and green infrastructure to build a strong sustainable economy.
I am passionate about public services and disagree with the way the Government and local councils have used the cuts to privatise and slash vital services to those in need.
I believe there needs to be more accountablity and democracy for and from our local councils, so that the public can be assured their views matter, they are listened to, and that councils’ work for the benefit of the whole community, not just the few.
I am standing in Ombersley in order to give residents the opportunity to vote for a candidate who has campaigned against the incinerator. Over the past couple of years, I have also been involved in a few other issues – notably as the spokesperson for both Kidderminster Hospital Alliance and the campaign to save Kidderminster Library Gallery.
