Dear Chase Ward Resident I have lived and worked in Malvern all of my life. I was a member of West Mercia police for 20 years retiring as commandant for the special constabulary. I also worked for British gas and the electric companies with a short spell for the blood service as a carer to obtain samples for the hospitals.
I served on the Malvern town council, along with other Councillors, to help obtain the new Malvern hospital, of which I am very proud.
I have served as a Councillor on Malvern Hills District Council for 7 years and was chairman in 2011-2012.
Locally I am involved keeping a watchful eye on the upgrade to both the fire station and the railway station, both of which are going well and I feel will be an asset to Malvern when completed.
With the proposed large scale building being envisaged within Malvern’s borders we must get the transport links right first. This is controlled by the County Council, which is why this will be one of my focal issues.
I also strongly believe that the contract with the bus companies must be looked into, including the lack of customer service. We should never allow our children to be dropped off miles from their destination with no concern for their safety. Also our elderly need to be treated with respect when attempting to travel on our buses.
If elected I will be available to the Chase Ward residents 24/7 Please give me your vote and support and together we can help make Malvern a wonderful place to live and work.
