IT’S curtains up at a Droitwich school as work begins on its new performing arts centre.
Building work is now well underway to convert the existing sports hall at Dodderhill School in Crutch Lane into a two-storey facility which will not only benefit the pupils, but also members of the whole community.
On the ground floor there will be four teaching and practice classrooms and a spacious foyer with a feature staircase which will lead up to a large performance space, suitable for plays and award ceremonies.
Headteacher Cate Mawston said: “We’re pleased that work has started on our new centre. It will be fantastic to have these new facilities where girls can practise the arts in a new and modern setting.”
