A CONVICTED murderer on the run from prison could be in the Worcester area.

Detectives from West Midlands Police are appealing for the public’s help in tracing wanted man David Glasgow.

The 44-year-old was jailed in December 1998 for killing Nicholas Daymon, aged 45, with a garden spade seven months earlier.

He was recently released from prison but was recalled after failing to comply with strict conditions imposed by the Probation Service.

Since his disappearance on Friday, March 8, police have been hunting for Glasgow and have searched a number of homes across the West Midlands.

PC Natalie Hodgkiss, from West Midlands Police’s offender management team, said: “We have been checking addresses and have put alerts across the country in a bid to locate Mr Glasgow.

“He is known to frequent the Birmingham area and has links to Scarborough and Worcester.

“We would urge anyone who knows of his whereabouts to call us.”

Mr Daymon died in the garden of his home on Brookhill Road in the Alum Rock area of Birmingham, as a result of multiple injuries. Glasgow then set the victim’s body alight while in a drunken stupor.
