STARGAZERS in Worcestershire may be scuppered by cloud cover this evening as they attempt to view a partial lunar eclipse.
The eclipse, the first of three this year, will be visible from the UK from around 5pm until 9pm, with the greatest obscuring of the moon visible at around 7pm.
Onlookers will see darkening to the top of the moon.
However, Met Office forecasters warned cloud cover could scupper a clear view of the event.
"Cloud and rain will slowly clear south-eastwards," the forecaster said.
He warned clear skies may not return until after midnight but the eclipse could still be visible as the cloud clears through the evening.
