POLICE are appealing for information after a pedestrian was seriously injured in Malvern.
The 67-year-old man was in collision with a gold coloured Honda CRV on a pedestrian crossing at Bellevue Terrace at about 7.40am on Wednesday, April 17.
He sustained a fractured skull, broken ribs and a punctured lung and was taken by ambulance to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital in Worcester, before being transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where his condition was today described as stable.
Sergeant Tony Bush of West Mercia Police said: “The pedestrian sustained serious injuries.
“As with all fatal and serious injury road traffic collisions, an investigation into the circumstances is underway. It is important we establish exactly what happened, and we are therefore appealing for any witnesses to contact us.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Steven Eldredge at the Force Operational Support Team at Rubery on 101, quoting incident 71-s-170413.
