BRAZEN thieves stole a £14,000 car in broad daylight from outside a busy supermarket.
The grey Land Rover, registration T20 HJB, was taken between 3pm and 3.30pm on Monday from Lidl's car park in Vale Road, Stourport.
The offenders forced their way into the locked 4x4, stealing it without the keys, which were in the owner’s handbag.
The car was in a parking space adjacent to Vale Road and following its theft would have turned left out of the car park, going in the direction of Kidderminster, Bewdley or the Gilgal in Stourport.
It had little fuel in its tank at the time and thieves may well have pulled into a nearby filling station.
Police are review CCTV footage from the area and appealing for information from anyone who either saw the Land Rover being taken or knows where it is now.
PC Marc Ginder said: “Property in the vehicle included some school coursework in two Ikea bags, a yellow and black striped rugby shirt, an orange Lego box and an orange dog collar with training leads.
“These may have been discarded by the thieves so if you have seen or found any of these quite distinctive items we would like to hear from you.”
Anyone with information should call PC Ginder at Kidderminster Police Station on 101, quoting the reference 387-S-150413, or pass on details anonymously through Crimestoppers by phoning 0800 555111.
