CAMERA equipment worth more than £4,000 has been stolen from a flat in Worcester.
The kit was taken from a flat in Southdown Road, off Bilford Road, Worcester, between 6.30am and 4.10pm on Friday after thieves broke in through an unlocked window.
A Nikon D300 digital camera, three Nikon lenses and wireless camera trigger were among the items taken.
PC Nicola Burgess, investigating, said: “This appears to have been an opportunistic theft where someone has simply reached through the window and grabbed the first thing they could get their hands on.
“In this case, it was a bag containing a significant amount of camera equipment. I would urge people to call us if they know of someone who has recently obtained this kind of kit – specifically Nikon – or is trying to sell it on.
“I am also keen to hear from local residents who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Southdown Road, near Bilford Court, and the railway line that backs onto it.”
Anyone with information about this burglary can call police on 101, quoting reference number 462-S-120413, or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
