PHOTOGRAPHS of family pets could give judges paws for thought as part of a competition to raise money for an animal rescue centre.
The competition has been organised by the RSPCA Worcester and Mid-Worcester Branch to help raise funds towards the building of their animal rescue and rehoming Centre.
People over 10 years of age are invited to take part by photographing their family pets. Fees for each entry in class 1 for those under the age 18 is £1, and in class 2 for adults it is £2 per entry.
Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third places in each class. The competition runs until April 30 and the winning entries will be decided on May 15 at the branch annual general meeting, to be held at Worcester Baptist Church Hall, Sansome Walk. Honorary Branch Secretary, Pamela Booker, said: “We are desperate for funds to build our animal rescue centre.
We now have planning permission to build the centre at Broomhall, near Worcester.” Entry forms are available at the branch’s shops in St John’s, Worcester, and in Old Street, Upton-upon-Severn, or by downloading a copy from their website at rspca-worcester.co.uk.
