COLLEGE students in Worcester have been raising money for an Armed Forces charity.
Worcester College of Technology students on the skills for work course held the Easter sale and raised £210.43 for Help for Heroes.
Teachers Sandra Brewer and Anita Bradford helped the students sell a variety of goods including fleece rabbits, cards, chocolate eggs in decorated bags and eggs on legs. They also raised money by selling tickets for a name the bunny competition and a raffle with prizes including tickets for Worcester Warriors and a tour of the Morgan car factory.
Ian Baldry, Worcestershire county co-ordinator for Help for Heroes, was invited to draw the raffle tickets. He also explained how the money would support the recovery programme for members of the Armed Forces with severe injuries incurred on operations in Iraq and Afghanistan who can no longer remain in the forces.
