A LOYAL group of Royalists have unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The group from Northwick Road and Seymour Avenue, Worcester – who are known as the Lodgers – planted the English oak sapling from Bishops Wood in Stourport-upon-Severn in a field known as the Lodge on June 4 last year.
The group’s Colin Legge said the planting was the latest ceremonial act from the Lodgers. “The whole process has brought the people of the local community together and given them so much pleasure,” he said.
