TWO teenagers have been robbed in separate incidents in Worcester.
Police want anyone who witnessed Sunday’s attacks, which took place within ten minutes of each other, to come forward.
The first happened on the College Precincts near the Cathedral at around 9.30pm when a 16-year-old boy was approached by two men.
Police say one of them hit the victim to the back of the head, causing him to fall.
His wallet was then stolen from his pocket before the offenders ran off towards College Street.
Just minutes later, another 16-year-old boy was punched to the face in Diglis Road.
The attackers then demanded he empty his pockets and hand over his phone. When the boy refused, he had his rucksack stolen from him.
Neither victim was badly hurt.
Detective Constable Andy Standing from Worcester police station said: “We are linking these robberies because of the locations where they happened being very near to one another and the way in which the offences were carried out.
“The offenders from the first incident are described as two white men, aged around 19 or 20, wearing black clothing and black beanie hats.
“I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time and remembers seeing two men acting suspiciously either in Diglis or near to the cathedral, to call us.”
