A VINYL-only celebration of independent music shops is set to go bigger and better than ever before.

Rapture in Evesham’s Riverside Centre will revel in the art of music during Record Store Day on Saturday, April 20 with a host of exclusive releases from the likes of David Bowie, the Cure and Biffy Clyro up for grabs.

The live highlight will be an acoustic set from London-based/Edinburgh-born singer-songwriter Ross Wilson, who is better known as Blue Rose Code.

His sound has been described as Caledonian soul - taking influence from Motown to Chet Baker, John Coltrane and Tom Waits among others - and can be heard in store from 1pm.

The store’s manager Natalie Boyles said: “To give the day a great vibe we will only be playing vinyl records all day in store. All the staff at Rapture are really excited to be a part of what will be Rapture's 4th Record Store Day; we are hoping it will be the biggest and best one yet.”

Other local artists will feature live later in the day, with give-aways, freebies and raffle keeping fans interested.
