TWO teenagers were punched and hit with a stick during an unprovoked attack in a Kidderminster park.
A 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl were approached by a large gang fronted by two teenage girls in Brinton Park on Sunday afternoon.
As they tried to walk away, the youth was hit with a stick, causing reddening to one of his arms, and the girl he was with was punched in the face and fell to the ground.
She suffered a cut cheek but neither of the victims required medical attention.
The unprovoked attack took place between 4.15pm and 4.50pm.
Both of the attackers were white and one was aged around 13, tall and thin with brown, tied-up hair and heavy make-up.
She wore a beige coat and dark coloured jeans.
The other appeared slightly older, around 15 or 16 years-old, and was tall and stocky with brown hair and possibly a red streak in it.
She was wearing a black, Barbour-style jacket and blue jeans.
PC Becky Edwards said: “This was an unprovoked attack during which one of the victims was struck with a stick.
"We want to hear from anyone who was in the park and saw this incident or knows any of the people who were in the group including the girls who carried out the assault and can give us their names.”
Anyone with information can contact PC Edwards at Kidderminster Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident reference 90-N-070413.
