SPEEDY students have been given a talk about a project which hopes to see a car break the land speed record by reaching speeds of 1,000mph.
Prince Henry’s High School, Evesham, was visited by Peter McCree, ambassador for the Bloodhound SSC project, before the Easter holidays, to learn more about the attempt which is due to take place within the next two years. Pupils in all years enjoyed learning about the aims of the project, the components of the car and the challenges in terms of science and engineering. In the afternoon, science club students had the opportunity to design, build and race their own balloon model cars.
