A WOMAN has been given a “lovely surprise” after scooping a double rollover win in a competition from your Worcester News.
Sheila Jones, aged 73, received a bumper cheque for £450 from promotions manager Sarah Bevan, above, as the final winner in our Lucky Numbers competition that came to an end in March.
Her winning numbers came up on Thursday, March 28.
Mrs Jones, of St John’s, said: “I was absolutely dumbfounded. I just thought I would come back from town and check the paper’s numbers as I have done religiously throughout. I was so excited I phoned my brother. I could not believe it, it was a lovely surprise.”
She added she might use the money towards having a break away as well as for various “odds and ends”.
A new cash competition started on Monday and offers five lucky Worcester News readers the chance to celebrate the arrival of spring and win £50 each every week for four weeks.
See Saturday’s paper for full entry details.
